Here is the story of a cowboy whose life seems almost too exciting to be true. But true it is, and the tale of John Kendrick is the story of the American West in all its adventure, hardship, romance and color. Born in Texas and orphaned at an early age, “Jack” was raised by relatives on a ranch. He left home as a teenager to seek his place among the cowboys.

The trail he chose led through bronc busting, trail drives, stampedes, fights with rustlers and eventually marriage to the boss’s daughter, who set her sights on Jack when he was a young man and she was only seven years old. The trail finally led the cowboy to terms as a Governor of Wyoming and United States Senator, but his heart was always on the ranch.
