Jefferson's Masterpiece

Jefferson's Masterpiece is the narrative account of why and how the Declaration of Independence was written and approved. It takes young readers on a historical journey from June 11 to August 2, 1776. They follow Thomas Jefferson as he writes the Declaration of Independence and carries out his daily activities; observe the 2nd Continental Congress as it votes to declare Independence and then edit, approve and sign the Declaration; and learn about the military struggles between the colonies and Great Britain.
